Experience

Software Engineer

Caliber

  • Lead engineer responsible for designing the architecture and the development of an automated service to create and upload documents to a third-party client. The service was created through a series of Web APIs and Azure services. The APIs were built on .NET 6 and utilized both Sql Server and CosmosDb on the backend. The service has seen a 100% success rate on the creation and upload of over a million documents. This new process will save $130k over the next 12 months in RPA costs and hundreds of hours in maintenance and debugging of the RPA bots.
  • Developed an automated instant notification service using Azure functions, complex SQL stored procedures, and a new Web API built on .NET 6. The service delivers to over 50,000 daily customers.
  • Designed and developed both the front end and the back end of a retail diagnostic software used on Android tablets. The UI was built with Blazor and utilized Razor markup. Due to the retail aspect of the software, the project put an emphasis on the use of interfaces and polymorphism, load balancing, and memory allocation to ensure scalability. The tool is used by tens of thousands of customers while the backend successfully handles thousands of asynchronous calls every minute.
  • Helped to design, develop, and test a Disaster Recovery Plan for the team's Azure infrastructure.
  • Developed CI/CD pipelines for existing APIs using Azure Pipelines. The implementation of these pipelines significantly improved the speed and efficiency of the software delivery process by replacing hundreds of hours spent on manual deployments.

Statistics Instructor

Texas Christian University (TCU)

  • Taught an introductory level statistics course that focused on probability and probabilistic models, regression analysis, and problem solving.
  • Simultaneously worked at a walk-in mathematics clinic provided by the university in which any undergraduate math student could seek immediate help regarding any mathematics course offered at the university.

Web Developer

etc group

  • Worked in a team of three creating Java microservices that could be extended using plugins from an already existing corporate-travel application.
  • Created a Web Forms using HTML 5 and CSS for the front end and PHP on the backend to process the forms used by thousands of customers.
